Tresine Logsdon
Tresine Logsdon spearheads student-driven sustainability in Fayette County Public Schools by working closely with students, teachers, principals and FCPS staff to facilitate school-community partnerships. She has 19 years of classroom teaching experience, most recently at Henry Clay High School teaching AP Environmental Science and Biology. Tresine serves as Teacher Facilitator for the Bluegrass Youth Sustainability Council, a coalition of high school students from Lexington’s public & private high schools. Sustainability, environmental literacy and following students’ lead have been Tresine's passions since beginning her teaching career. She is inspired everyday by FCPS teacher leadership and students' inherent enthusiasm for sustainability and voracious desire to learn and do more.
“The Town Branch project is an innovative venture that will inspire hundreds of our Lexington neighbors to explore our community on foot and by pedal— improving quality of life, nurturing community networks, cultivating healthier lifestyles and deepening an appreciation of the stunning Bluegrass landscape and waterways.”
