I grew up in a house across the street from a city park. I spent summers playing kickball and winters, in the snow, playing football with kids from the neighborhood. In fact, last summer my 6 siblings and I donated a park bench in memory of our father (he passed away last year and was the Mayor of the city when I was in elementary school) and we played a game of kickball.
